Your mind needs time to recover as much as the rest of your body. Modern life causes a desynchronization with our natural circadian rhythm. We have social networks, 24/7 news coverage, indoor lighting, and longer working hours. As we seek to extend what’s possible via technology we must reconcile what’s required biologically.

Hit reset

Making your bed in the morning. Cleaning your house during springtime. Returning to center court in a tennis match. These are examples of hitting reset. Such activities are useful for reducing clutter (physical and mental) and as a trigger for habit formation.

You have to know when to make a decision. The number of decisions in a day makes detailed analysis of all options infeasible. Prioritization helps, but you’ll still have to decide. Accelerate your decision making by going with the first adequate and reversible solution.
