Facing the unfamiliar means pushing the boundaries of what’s known. You are inherently pushed out of your comfort zone. Personal growth is guaranteed. You’ll face new realities and discover new passions.
When looking for people to model after look both forwards and backwards. That is start by looking for someone in a position you want to be in within 2-5 years that you respect and admire. Then look at someone who is 2-5 years behind you who you respect and admire. Both types of role model have something to teach you.
Success, for 99% of the time, is directly correlated to the value of your network. Who you surround yourself with and how you build those people up is more of an indicator for greatness than any personal achievement listed on your resume. You have to respect other people for who they are and what they have to offer before you can do anything great in life.
